Oppo and Vivo beats Xiaomi and Huawei to gain top Smartphone brand in China
Chinese smartphone market leaders Xiaomi and Huawei have dropped down. Vivo and OPPO have snatched the top spots from Huawei and Xiaomi. As a report from Counterpoint Research, OPPO occupied 16.6 % market share whereas Vivo captured 16.2% of the market from July to September this year.

OPPO had only 9.9 percent of market share during the third quarter of 2015 while Vivo had 8.2 percent of market share. Huawei had 15.5% and Xiaomi 14.6 percent. Huawei has 15 percent of market share and now is trailing in the third spot. Xiaomi market share has dropped to 10.6 % while Apple has 8.4 percent.
OPPO dominance has been set up by their flagship OPPO R9. Research director at Counterpoint Research, James Yan, explained that OPPO's shipments increased by 82 % year over year. The OPPOo R9 overthrew iPhone during Q3 of 2016.
