If you are a tech geek like me, you might probably like the idea of using greatest and latest Android smartphones available. But every time this will not happen and our own budget may be the very first case. So, many of us prefer to buy the "Used-version" commonly called "second-hand". Getting a used smartphone is pretty a good idea because you can get the device is a fairly low price. However, you may take a wrong step buying the "used-phone" is you fail to inspect it properly and it may invite a lot of unexpected troubles. So, what things should you consider while buying "used-smartphones" ? Let's have a look

Many of us have a negative look at 'used products' as we say them "second-hand" and not  buy it. We shrink our face and always want lesser and fewer price tag. But that's not the way of dealing with 'used-products'. Many retailer and shops, therefore use the word "Pre-owned" as an alternative to 'used-goods'. You can choose a great variety of used smartphones that may really bring you positive results.

Know what are you looking for 

The very first step towards buying a 'used-smartphone' is identifying what exactly are you looking for. Are you searching for a performance driven phone or a smartphone with better camera option ?. Start by looking and pointing out minimum specs that you are looking for. What Operating System do you want ? Why do you need the smartphone? What can I achieve by buying that "special used-phone" ? Ask yourself, answer them and decide which and why you are looking for the smartphone. By identifying your needs, you can then take proper action and choose suitable smartphone for you.

So, finally you decided to buy the phone and the phone owner has invited to check out the phone. Don't deny the invitation and accept it firmly. Don't rely on images and pictures uploaded. It is better to see, check and then buy the device. So before you meet, make sure to ask him to insert your SIM and use it for some time. You can check the battery life, quality and other options. Make sure to meet him/her in a public place and meet him/her during the day so it will be easier for you to inspect the phone.


Inspection

So, give the visual inspection first. It means, look and view precisely the every aspect of the mobile carefully. There may be small defects and problems, so make sure to check all those things. Check camera whether they are working properly or not. Look for scratches in the front and back areas. Are both camera working properly ? Also check the physical button, if is available. Also watch for broken lens and screen.
After the closer first look, open the back cover and check battery and other components. See if the battery is original one or 3rd party. Check the SIM slots and micro SD slots. Also play music and ringtones to check the speaker.
Take a headphone or a headset with you and check whether it is working properly or not. Connect to the charger and see if it is charging or not. It is better, to try with different chargers, if it is available.
Now use your SIM card and check whether it works properly or not. Also see how smoothly the device is working. If the device lags, see why and how. Play some games to check the performance. Also be sure to check the Android version. If there are features like sensors, check them and be sure how properly they work. So, by doing these proper inspection you will be able to land a 'used-smartphone' with very positive result.
