New smartphone rumours roundup ft. iPhone 8, Huawei Mate 10 Xiaomi Note 3
As the announcement date is nearer, more and more rumors are appearing. We are now only three days away from the official announcement of the new iPhone. This means we are also 3 days away from the announcement of iOS 11. But the GM(Gold master) of iOS 11 was leaked this morning displaying some beautiful wallpapers and other things. We suddenly got a bunch of things to see overnight. New wallpapers were leaked and also FaceID was leaked. Since Apple doesn't frequently add new wallpapers, it kind of becomes a big deal when they do.
Apple’s new Face ID technology may become a new API element to apps. Gaze + gaze shift can be used in creative ways:https://t.co/ZfZAXeX8p4— Brian Roemmele (@BrianRoemmele) September 9, 2017
Previously, @Brian Roemmele leaked the Apple FaceID setup video. Other leaks include new video recording modes including 1080p video at 240 fps slow motion and 4K video at 24 and 60fps which are insane for a smartphone. Even mid-range DLSR are unable to capture 4K videos at 60fps. The things that amaze is that both rear and front camera will be able to do so. Portrait Lighting mode will also debut which will simulate different lighting effects to give better images.
iOS 11 will also include animated emoji which may be called Animoji. The exciting news is that it will track your face and create more expressive expression. Airpods will be upgraded and also slight changes may appear in the UI.
Huawei Mate 10:
Since the first array of renders were leaked, today we saw the first live picture of the upcoming new Huawei flagship- Huawei Mate 10.
The picture reveals edge-to-edge display giving the device bezel-less display on the sides. There are bezels on top and bottom and Huawei logo can be seen on the bottom bezel. Interestingly, the device has no Home button and what is Huawei doing makes the thing more interesting. Will they do the same as Samsung or will they completely remove the finger-print sensor too?
The two model of the device is expected to launch as per rumors. Since Huawei Mate 9 has no physical buttons on the front, the leaked image may be in fact the genuine one.
The device is expected to have a 6.3 inch IPS LCS screen of resolution 1440 x 2960px, Kirin 970 chipset, 6GB of RAM, dual camera 20MP+122MP on the rear side and 4000 mAh battery. The device will launch in Munich on October 16.
