OnePlus 5T surfaces online, new bezel-less display ?
OnePlus is not a new name anymore now. OnePlus has defined its way into the smartphone market and are one of the biggest talks when it comes to their smartphone. Unlike other companies, OnePlus only releases a certain amount of smartphone which makes them stand out in the crowd. As news surfaces online, two of the three OnePlus 5 smartphone is sold out. This totally defines the market of OnePlus smartphones. Although the latest addition to their family OnePlus 5 was criticised for it's design similar to iPhone, the smartphone had many things to offer. Since the latest release have done astounding sales, the company is preparing to launch the updated version of the device. Since, they could not release OnePlus 6 since it's too early.
New reports from Gizmo China reports that the new OnePlus device may be named OnePlus 5T and it will have a 6.0-inch 2160 x 1080 resolution display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The exciting news, however, is that it will be following the new trend of 2017 i.e. the bezel-less display. This could be interesting because it is a huge change to the screen size as all previous models had the 5.5-inch display.
The device is expected to launch somewhere in November 2017 and this makes sense because the previous upgrade to OnePlus 3 - OnePlus 3T was also launched in November.
Talking about the specs, it seems that OnePlus will stick with the same processor i.e. Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and will also have same RAM storage option that is 6/8 GB. The only change that matters is screen size and the bezel-less display which all OnePlus fans are waiting for. Talking sincerely, among other flagships out there like Samsung Galaxy S8 and Note 8, LG G6 and LG V 30, Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, Essential Phone and recently announced iPhone X, the change to design was somewhat needed. The leaked renders has been published and what it seems like a first look of the device, the leaked image seems similar to Oppo's unreleased OPPO F5. This could be a possibilty since Oppo and OnePlus shared a similar design (Oppo R11 and OnePlus 5). The battery could also be bigger and could reach 4,000 mAh.
The render shows the curved design just like Samsung Galaxy S8, so this means it could have a curved screeen. But the render is least to be believed because OnePlus has a clean Stock Android look and the render probably doesn't show that. It could be Oppo F5 but since Gizmo China has made several predictions and some of them turned out to be true, we could just believe if this is the upcoming OnePlus 5T. Since OnePlus makes smartphone labelled as "flag-ship killer" and are budget-oriented, it would be interesting if they could add features like Wireless Charging, IP67/8 water and dust resistant.
