Sony Smartphones are always extra-looking, stylish and nice. While we may have seen many "mini" versions of flagships phones in recent times. Sony with their Compact devices are only shrinking in size, while having the same specifications and features of their flagships premium, which is the case of Sony Xperia X Compact.
Design
Sony Xperia X is the compact version of Xperia X. Therefore, the design completely seems borrowed from flagship Xperia XZ. This compact device however have a body entirely made of plastic, not from metal or aluminium. The phone comes with a very smooth and glossy finish and give a clear ceramic look but is a instant fingerprint magnet. The bottom and top of the phone are flat. This allows the phone to stand by its own. There are other matching colors that makes this device look even more beautiful.

There is a USB Type C port and a head-phone jack at the bottom and top respectively. On the left side, there is a SIM card and microSD card, right side features volume rocker, power button and a dedicated camera button. The volume buttons are perfectly placed so you can use it with your single hand and it feels quite comfortable.
Display
Sony Xperia Xx Compact features 4.6-inch IPS LCD Display with 720 p resolution with pixel density of 319 ppi. The display is pretty sharp and clear but one would expect not only 720p in the current scheme of things. However, ,the display offering is quite satisfactory and offers nice color saturation and reproduction. The screen can be easily viewed in outdoor- bright sunlight.
Performance
Sony Xperia X Compact also packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processer, same as it's premium flagship. The processing package is backed by the Adreno 510 GPU and 3 GB of RAM. The performance is great as one would expect from the mid-range phone. The device can run high-end games without much trouble and the processor is quite good from such mid-range smartphones.
Camera
Sony's camera has been outstanding in their category as usual. Sony Xperia X Compact boasts a 23 mega-pixels rear camera which helps you to stablilize the images and also click better photograph in low-light situation. Front camera offers 5 MP selfie-shooter and is a standard wide-angle lens camera. Camera is not a problem for Sony Smartphones.
The phone is available in US in $500.
