Honor 8 Specifications, Review and Price
Honor 5X was released earlier this year, and was claimed to be one of the best sub-$200 smartphones in the United States. Honor 8 could be one of the affordable flagships. So, priced at $400 could Honor 8 able to compete OnePlus3 and ZTE smartphones ?

Design-
The design of Honor 8 is comparable to the expensive Samsung Galaxy S7. Honor 8 is an absolutely masterpiece for that range of price. The dual glass panel is similar to that of Xiaomi Mi 4S and Galaxy S7. The composition also enables very thralling light patterns. There are volume buttons and tactile buttons on the right side of the smartphone. The IR blaster at the top of the device makes it possible to control TVs and other h household appliances. However the phone may slip from your hand since its slippery. Adding a cover case is recommended because it will not attract your fingerprint. The build quality of Honor 8 is extremely satisfactorily. Buttons are not available but the navigation keys works fine.

Display :
Honor 8 features 5.2" 1080P LTPS display. The display looks nice and great with decent amount of sharpness and punchy colors. The color temperature of Honor 8 is cool and there are settings available for color adjustment. The color reproduction could have been more better and the calibrated display could be made better. The phone could be seen in outdoor sunlight as display brightness maxes out 455 nits.
Performance :
The phone is powered by Huawei's own in-house processors, a HiSilicon Kirin 950. The performance of Honor 8 is not an issue. The device performs pretty great. The Kirin 950 provides the same performance as Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. The 4GB RAM has done it's job nicely and there are no any major lags. High-end games performs nice and smoothly however the Honor's 8 Mali-T880 MP4 GPU could be a down-point compared to high-end Adreno GPU.

Camera
Honor 8 comes with dual-camera with f2.2 aperture. The hybrid auto-focus is laser assisted and Huawei claims the phone capture better and smooth looking images. One lens capture color while other is monochrome. The shadows and highlights are balanced and images obtained are extremely fine and of good-quality. The rear camera is 12 MP camera and selfie shooter has mega-pixel of 8 MP. The images obtained cannot be compared to that of Galaxy 7 . Low-light performance is quite acceptable as compared to that of One Plus 3 or Axon 7.
Pricing:
The Honor 8 is available for pre-order on Amazon, HiHonor, Newegg, Best Buy . The price starts from $399.99 for the 32 GB or $449.99 for the 64 GB storage option. The color options available are Black, White, and Blue. Several promotions are available, with $50 gift card.
