Huawei Mate X 5G launches in China

After much delays, Huawei has finally unveiled Mate X 5G - the company's first foldable smartphone in the market. It took nearly 10 months for Huawei to finally bring the smartphone to the market. The phone can be officially purchased starting from November 15th in China.

For now, there's only a single variant available which is base model of 8GB RAM and 5122 ROM which roughly costs around $2403. The Mate X 5G is even costlier than Galaxy Fold. However, the outward folding of the Mate X was warmly received and for a folding screen, it's not really much to pay around $2k.
Mate X 5G has 6.6-inch display featuring 19:5:9 aspect ratio and screen resolution of 2480 x 1148 pixels. In  the folded position, you get a display featuring 6.38 inches with 2480 x 892 with aspect ration of 25:9.

Huawei uses double-layer polyimide material for flexible screen. It has four cameras at the back, a 40MP primary sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens, a 16MP super wide-angle shooter and a 3D depth sensor. The phone is capable of 45x zoom alongwith OIS and AIS for stabilization. It has Kirin 980 procesor and a 45oo mAh battery with Huawei's SuperCharge 55W charging technology. It gets charged 85% charge in just about 30 minutes.
